The HOI is responsible for overseeing the special education units at all three campuses and surrounding schools in the district, line managing the staff within those and ensuring that educational services are delivered to all students with disability.

Mrs Kiah Grafton (Monday - Junior Campus)
The GO provides counselling, psychoeducational assessments and individual student support, recommendations and advice to students, teachers and parents concerning educational, behavioural, career development, mental health and family issues.

The GO provides counselling, psychoeducational assessments and individual student support, recommendations and advice to students, teachers and parents concerning educational, behavioural, career development, mental health and family issues.
Primary Wellbeing Teachers
Mrs Michelle Clout (Junior Campus)
The Wellbeing teacher coaches, mentors and supports teachers to implement Effective Classroom Management to help create productive and safe learning environments for students and staff. This includes supporting staff in implementing Teach Like a Champion techniques to create routines and structure in their learning environments.
Mrs Leah Wallis (Middle Campus)
The Wellbeing teacher coaches, mentors and supports teachers to implement Effective Classroom Management to help create productive and safe learning environments for students and staff. This includes supporting staff in implementing Teach Like a Champion techniques to create routines and structure in their learning environments.

The
HOD SS is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the
implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning
outcomes and attendance, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
The HOD also liaises with external agencies and line manages support staff
members.
Senior Guidance Officer

The
GO provides counselling, psychoeducational assessments and individual student
support, recommendations and advice to students, teachers and parents
concerning educational, behavioural, career development, mental health and
family issues.
Youth Support Coordinator
Mrs Serena Gane
The
role of the YSC in our school is to support retention and attainment of young
people in Years 10 to 12 who have disengaged, or who are at risk of disengaging
from education. The focus of the role is to increase engagement and enhance
opportunities for further education and sustainable future employment.
Beyond the Broncos Student Support Officer
Mrs Susie Klein
The SSO provides support to the students
in the Beyond the Broncos program. With a focus on mentoring and support
services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to assist in
engagement, retention and academic progress of students in years 7 to 12.
School Base Youth Health Nurse
Ms Emma Thompson
The SBYHN works with school staff to
build their competence and confidence to safely manage procedures and
interventions required by students with specialised health needs. They provide assessment, health
management planning, training and ongoing support and supervision for students
with specialised health needs.
Community Education Counsellor
The
CEC provides educational counselling and support services to Aboriginal and/or
Torres Strait Islander secondary students and communities.
Social Worker
Supported by Youth Insearch, the Social Worker is responsible for providing individual coordinated care, and
embedding the Youth Insearch peer
support program within the school and within the community.
They operate in an advisory
and advocacy role, providing case management and counselling (where
appropriate) to students, their families and carers for the purpose of
assisting student's wellbeing and educational outcomes.
Student Support Programs
Brekky Club
Brekky Club is a wonderful initiative designed to ensure that all students feel ready to learn for the day by providing them with a hearty breakfast before the school day starts. We offer ham & cheese toasted wraps and pancakes for students on select days between 8:00am - 8:30am across all three campuses.
Students are encouraged to come down, grab a bite to eat and have a chat with members of our support team. Stay up to date with our Brekky Club roster by following our social media.
Drumbeat Therapy
DRUMBEAT is an acronym for Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes and Thoughts. It incorporates hand drumming, behavioural therapeutic principles and cognitive and dialectical elements to achieve positive outcomes. DRUMBEAT facilitates the social and emotional skills for healthy relationships and values.
Rock & Water
Students will develop a growing awareness of themselves on their path to adulthood. In this program, 'rock' is the symbol used in the program for standing fast for what you feel is right and worth defending. Alternatively, 'water' is the symbol for strength through cooperation and communication.
Specifically, Rock & Water focuses on:
- practical anti-bullying strategies
- building self-confidence, self-awareness and self-control
- communication skills and the interpretation of body language cues
- alternatives to verbal and physical cues
- boundary awareness
- thinking and being in control, through grounding, centredness and mental focus
Ministry of Food
Ministry of Food teaches the importance of nutrition using renowned chef Jamie Oliver's recipes and cooking philosophy. The recipes developed for Jamie's Ministry of Food Program are formulated with kitchen skills, nutrition and budget firmly in mind. They are intended to be suitable for those on a budget but tasty enough to be served for special occasions.
Love Bites
Love Bites and Love Bites Junior focus on the development of respectful relationships for young people aged 11 to 17. The program aims to provide a safe environment in which young people can discuss and learn about their rights and responsibilities in relationships, as well as ways to access support when needed. During these sessions, young people are introduced to a number of services in the community and are encouraged to support their friends by utilising safe, healthy and proactive strategies.
