competition is not just about fast cars. F1 in Schools is a holistic action
learning program which focuses on developing long term employability skills.
Students learn leadership, team building, project management, business
planning, public speaking, marketing, collaboration, writing and presentation
skills.
Students
find themselves immersed and engaged in state of the art technology and design
processes to achieve leaps and bounds in design, speed and personal growth.
The challenge
provides the opportunity for students to collaborate with many organisations,
industry and higher education facilities to source knowledge and resources
during their project.
The F1 in Schools
program has lifted the image of the manufacturing and engineering industries and
highlighted the diverse and innovative career opportunities available in these
industries.
Students
participating in the initiative are embarking on life-long learning pathways
aligned to manufacturing and engineering careers with many of the young people
involved poised to be the innovators of the future.
