Year 8/9 Mudjimba Camp

On Tuesday the 26th of June, the grade 8’s and 9’s went on camp to Apex Camps at Mudjimba, on the Sunshine Coast. We participated in a range of exciting activities, including body boarding, paddle boarding, canoeing, beach games, rock climbing, raft building, radio rogaine (an orienteering scavenger hunt using walkie-talkies) the mud pit challenge, and much much more. Even as the night fell, the students had enormous amounts of fun in activities such as Minute to Win It, a Red Faces competition and a games session run by one of our helpful students.  Amy, Tanea, Maddy, Amity and Brock stole the show with their hilarious Red Faces act ‘Not so Cleva- Sharp.’ Everyone really enjoyed the activities, the mouth-watering food, and adored our super fun instructors. The antics of our instructor Alana and a certain ‘impulsive squealer’ kept everyone in fits of laughter, (though Alana did not appreciate being almost tipped from a canoe!). Both grade 8’s and 9’s were sad to return on Friday, the camp was too much fun to leave behind.
