Try Trades
Every Thursday for the last 7 weeks, a select group of Year 10 students have participated in the 2017 Try Trades Program. This initiative has been coordinated in conjunction with TAFE QLD and provided students with the opportunity to:

-          gain exposure to various modes of education and training delivery, e.g. school, training provider and employer
-          engage with local industry organisations as they deliver training and experiences for their specific sector
-          make informed decisions about subjects they choose during SET Planning periods
-          successfully transition from school to work and/or further education
-          establish a valuable link with employers through work placement and potentially gain a school-based apprenticeship
