Senior Campus

Senior Campus Updates:
It has been a busy start to Term 2 at Senior Campus, with several activities over the past two weeks already. Year 11 students attended their annual Year Level Camp at Noosa North Shore, with a focus on team work and leadership skills. Miss Hirning, Miss Scruton and Mr Doyle, along with the students who attended, all had a wonderful time and have many stories to share. The Year 12 Biology and Geography classes also have been away on their annual North Keppel Island trip. This trip allows the students to see hands-on a marine ecosystem and sustainable environments. Ms Price and Mr Nebe said that the students had a great time, and the weather was perfect! Both camp sites have commented on the wonderful behaviour of our students and the respect and politeness they showed while at each site.
We held our Semester 1 Gold & Silver Awards ceremony to recognise the large portion of our campus who achieved these levels by the end of Term 1. It was lovely to see so many parents in attendance at the ceremony also. Immediately following the ceremony, we went straight into our Parent-Teacher Interviews, so it was a quick turn-around of furniture in Jubilee Hall. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who took the time to meet with teachers during that afternoon.
Several students and staff have been involved in Roma & District and South-West trial days for a variety of sports. This continues throughout this term, our busiest term for representative sports. Congratulations to the students who have been selected in South-West teams!
Year 8/9 Camp and Year 10 Camp:
Students in Year 8, 9 and 10 have been issued with their Information and Permission notes for their upcoming year level camps at the end of this term. Year 8/9 students are heading off to Mudjimba Apex Camp and Year 10 students are going to Fairburn Dam from Tuesday, 26th – Friday, 29th June. Students will need to meet the school’s Representation Policy to attend. Please contact your child’s Year Level Co-ordinator if you have any questions.
