Dresses for the Drought

Dresses for the Drought
On Wednesday 29th of August we held a Dresses for the Drought Pop-Up Stall made possible by the organisation which provides formal wear to students in drought affected areas free of charge. Organisation founders, Tashoni Hardy and Anita Guyett collected donations of dresses, suits, shoes and accessories to help farming families doing it tough. The premise behind the organisation is that the sisters believe that amid excruciating drought conditions, formal outfits are a cost that families should not have to wear. Students had the opportunity to try on and take home beautiful dresses, suits, shoes and accessories in new or near new condition. Attached to the dresses and suits were notes from people around Australia sending their well wishes to our students for their special night and joining us in the hope for rain. Organisation founder Tashoni, joined us in Roma for the Pop-Up Stall, also kindly providing platters of food and drinks for anyone attending the stall, to make it that little more special. The smiles on the faces of happy shoppers was a sight not to be missed! We would like to thank Dresses for the Drought Australia for making this opportunity for our students possible, Australia Post for shipping out the stock, Target Country Roma for providing coat hangers and to the community and students for attending. We cannot wait to see how fantastic our students look at the senior formal on the 9th of November.
